Army Chief Warrant Officer 3 Matthew Ruffner. 9 APR 2013.

Died in Nangarhar Province, Afghanistan when the AH-64 Apache Ruffner was piloting crashed during a reconnaissance mission. Ruffner was assigned to Pennsylvania Army National Guard’s Company B, 1-104th Attack Reconnaissance Battalion, based at Fort Indiantown Gap. The battalion mobilized for deployment to Afghanistan in August 2012.

The incident is under investigation.
