U.S. Army UH-60 Black Hawk helicopters assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 140th Aviation Regiment, California Army National Guard fly an aerial firefighting mission in Redding, Calif. Californian National Guardsmen assisted state officials in battling the Ponderosa wildfire, which was sparked by a lightning strike Aug. 18, 2012, about 30 miles east of Redding.
