Him: (humming some tune)
Me: What song is that?
Him: I dunno. Just heard it from 1st platoon’s hooch.
Me: Sounds nice. Hum some more.
Second hour…
Me: See someone on that roof? Front second, below that clothesline.
Him: (looks through his sights) Some momma hanging the laundry.
Me: (looks through my sights) She keeps bending over a lot.
Him: That’s what you do when you hang laundry.
Me: Call it in?
Him: Yeah I guess.
Third hour…
Him: (stomping his boot) My toe itches.
Me: Put it here. (stomps my boot over his) Better?
Him: Yeah.
