#SOLDIERPORN

Soldier Stories is a feature here on #soldierporn that highlights the stories of military personnel — ranging from the mundane to the bloody gore of combat, to the equally difficult struggles of re-acclimation to civilian life after a tour (or two or three or four) downrange.

This feature has no specific schedule for appearance — when I’m provided content (voluntary or serendipitous) it will appear.

Active contributions for this are welcomed and encouraged — it can be a photo or video, but the goal here is stories, reflections, memories, or insight from the perspective of those in uniform. The ones who pay the price of armed service in blood, sweat, and tears. 

Subject matter is at your discretion. Nationality is irrelevant, as is branch or duration of service, though I’d love to have that information included in the content. It doesn’t have to be something new — it can be a link to something you have posted in your own tumblr/blog/journal, though the content needs to be yours. If you prefer to remain anonymous, please indicate so and the desire will be honored.
