The Curator of #soldierporn

There’s much I could say here, but at the heart of it is this. I’m a writer — the written word is my chosen medium as an artist. My inspirations have many sources; photography is one. Music is another. I have decades of familiarity with the Armed Forces, though most intimately with the US Army. I walked away from a number of opportunities to sign a commission, but I’ve been intimate with BDUs, jungle boots, dress blues, and WWII khakis, and some of the lewdest jodies.
Please note: this blog is a treasure trove for my own uses, very much a collation of research, an exploration into the soldier psyche, the warrior ethos, and that side of humanity that few explore and even fewer understand. The perspectives, opinions, and attitudes expressed or stated in the posts are not mine, unless explicitly marked [-R].
My philosophy is this: you can have an opinion on something, or you can understand it; life’s too short for both.
I choose to strive for understanding.
This blog is also a way for me to share with you. All knowledge is worth having. From knowledge comes understanding. So please, if you have a question, don’t hesitate to ask.
I don’t bite. Very hard.
Most of the time.
Should you be curious, my writing can be found here, on my website. Or here, on my blog.
Thanks for reading, hope you enjoy the #soldierporn. -R
